Scripts from the Dark Depths

A compilation of three scripts for videoessays — Underworld, Atlantis, and The Blue Dot — each exploring the ocean as a mythological, technological, and ecological space. Moving through the discovery of Eurythenes Plasticus (a deep-sea crustacean with microplastics in its gut), epistolary fiction set around the Atlantis-2 cable, and a meditation on the internet as a vast ocean of data, the scripts weave together colonial history, marine science, speculative narrative, and digital infrastructure. Published in Dark Mountain, Issue 26: Dark Ocean, 2024.
